4.50 from Paddington was the train, by which Mrs. McGillicddy was returning home from london.She saw from her carriage window a woman was being srtagled amurdered in the train running parallel to her's. She had reported the phenomenon to the station master of Brackhampton station. But nothing was mentioned in the news paper of the next morning and after enquiring at the police station, police informed that no body was found. Taken at the Flood or There is a Tide -by Agatha Christie

"there is a tide in the affairs of men,
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries,
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures."

Warmsley Vale was just another sleepy English village, yet a series of misfortune were taken place, and all are associated with Cloade family.

Was it a coincidence or a deliberate crime? Hercule Poirot found himself on a trail as baffling as any he had ever encountered.
